My Doc says “Eat Well, Be Healthy” – Oh Really??!!

Does this sound familiar?

  • “I eat a good diet, I don’t need to supplement.”
  • “My doctor says if I eat well, I’ll get all the nutrition I need.”

If this is truly the case, why is America rated 72nd in the world as the sickest population?

Because………….

  • In 1950, a woman could eat 2 peaches and get all the Vit. A she would need for the day.  Today, she has to gobble down 53 peaches every day to get the same amount of Vit. A.*
  • Imagine jamming down 65 cups of spinach every single day to get the same amount of iron that you got in 1950 in just one cup?*
  • Potatoes have lost 100% of their Vit. A – 100% is a lot!**

I am very fortunate to live in an intentional community that has an organic farm. There is a little store here where I can buy milk and eggs that were harvested that very morning, and in season, all the organic vegetables a girl could ever want

And with all the good healthy stuff I get, it is still not enough of what my body needs these days to combat the poor water, poor air, and the 75,000 chemicals in our environment, etc, etc.  Hard to imagine?

If you are reading this you are paying attention.  Pat yourself on the back for being Proactive.   Shop organic, supplement with the best.

Synthetic Supplements are Dangerous

Posted March 31st, 2010 by gail and filed in Stuff You Need to Know
In early 2007, the JAMA (Journal of the American Medical Associate) published a peer reviewed study finding that synthetic supplements are dangerous. For the complete article, http://www.organicconsumers.org/articles/article_4321.cfm  The operative word?  SYNTHETIC.
So when the buzz hit the press with information that vitamins and minerals were BAD, no one talked about the fact that these studies were done with synthetics.  They, (big pharma maybe?), blasted it all over that we were a wasting our money, which supported the popular toilet theory.
Now if you have been taking synthetic vitamins and minerals for years and years, and you probably have like the rest of us, these synthetics, which are chemicals, build up in the body as toxins because they cannot be utilized or metabolized; even if they are ground up and put in a colloidal solution, suspended, ionized, chelated, put in fancy bottles, etc. etc.
How to identify synthetic vitamins?
Any vitamin listed on a label ending in tate, trate, nate or chloride for starters.  Additional synthetic vitamins may include ascorbic acid, beta carotene, riboflavin, niacin, calcium D-pantothenate, pteroylglutamic acid, calciferal, dl-alpha tocopheral, menadione or phytonadione.
How to identify synthetic minerals?
The mineral name will usually end in bate, tate, nate, chloride, trate, fide, phate, iodide, late (and that is not latte), ionine, oxide, rate, fate.
Do you feel a headache coming on yet??  Get over to that cupboard and start looking at the labels of all your supplements.  Hint:  You might start with your Emergen-C – if you buy that.
Isn’t it kind of cool to know that you know something that 95% or more of supplement users have no idea of?
Yeah Mannatech once again!  Real Food TechnologySM solutions.
